Rockhampton based, with site work opportunitiesAbove award rates, tools of trade, vehicle, laptopJob DescriptionAt MST, our Communications Technicians are an integral part of our customer-facing operations, providing service and support to customers both onsite and in our workshops. Technicians will work across our MST Product suite and third-party integrated technologies for our Surface and Underground mining customers. You will have the opportunity to work on mine sites and in our Rockhampton Workshop.
Day to day, you will: Install and maintain radio frequency (RF) equipment.Install and maintain Wi-Fi Network Solutions.Read and write RF transmission and reception systems.Deliver RF Solutions including Coaxial Cable Termination.Test and splice fibre optic cables.Fault find in all types of communications systems.Perform bench repairs on electronic equipment.Everyone at MST is responsible for safety, and you will ensure a culture and practice of safety compliance is maintained on all worksites.
Desired Skills and ExperienceTo be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and attributes: Certificate III in Electronic and Communications or equivalent.Two to three years of on-the-job experience.Focus on delivering quality work to achieve customer satisfaction.Mine site experience, either surface or underground (highly desirable).Working knowledge of communications technology and the mining industries (highly desirable).Valid National Police Check.You will already have or be ready to complete:
