About the Role
The purpose of this role is to deliver senior Psychological/Occupational Therapy/ Speech Pathology/Social Worker services within Community Child and Youth Mental Health. In particular, the purpose of this role is to provide clinical expertise and consultancy through advanced clinical leadership to optimise psycho-social outcomes for children and young people who have complex mental health needs, but who are also involved or at high risk of becoming involved with the Youth Justice System.
This includes:
1. Delivering high quality evidenced based Discipline Specific and Generic Mental Health clinical services to patients/consumers within a highly functioning multidisciplinary team.
2. Contribution to the advancement of quality Discipline Specific and Generic Mental Health services and optimal patient care, through provision of service development, quality improvement, and clinical education.
3. Monitoring and reporting on work practices and outcomes, including initiating, planning and evaluating relevant quality and research initiatives.
4. Providing supervision and training to less experienced (HP3) clinicians, students and to Allied Health Assistants (AHA's).
