Our Digital & Technology Solutions (DTS) team is seeking an IT Specialist who will play a pivotal role in delivering seamless AV and IT support for high-profile events at our prestigious Curtin St Georges Terrace precinct.
The precinct is managed by the Curtin St Georges Terrace team (CSGT) which comprises of Venue & Event Coordinators, Admin Support, Business Operations and a Manager.
As the IT Specialist, you will be the go-to technical expert supporting client AV setups for both in-person and hybrid events.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in state-of-the-art event spaces supporting executive events, industry panels, academic conferences, and high-profile engagements.

Key Responsibilities: Provide expert AV guidance to staff and clients on how to facilitate high quality events at CSGT Work collaboratively with the Curtin St Georges Terrace team, to assist in the delivery of world-class event experiences to internal stakeholders and high-profile external clients.
Provide technical troubleshooting, live support, and proactive system checks to ensure flawless event execution.
Assist in the coordination of external AV providers and manage third-party setups when required.
Operate within a flexible support model with the ability to engage casual support staff, remote AV specialists, or external vendors to manage extended or after-hours event requirements.
Actively update and maintain accurate documentation of AV needs for all bookings in a venue management system (Momentus).
Supporting continuous improvement by maintaining and upgrading AV systems in partnership with DTS.
What you'll need: Demonstrated experience in live AV event support or technical event delivery.
Proven knowledge of audio, video, lighting, and hybrid conferencing technologies.
Calm and professional problem-solving skills in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to engage confidently with senior leadership and external VIPs.
Relevant qualifications or certifications in audio engineering, technical production, or a related field (desirable).
Availability to support early morning or evening events with flexibility in arranging coverage.
