Our client, a large QLD Government Department, is seeking to engage an experienced Business Analyst to facilitate the development of the business requirements, Functional and non-functional requirements specifications.
Role Details
The Business Analyst role is required to facilitate the development of the Business Requirements, Functional and non-fictional Requirements Specifications and perform other business analysis activities for the project. Without a clear definition of business requirements, as input to the technical specifications, the quality and suitability of the end product will be compromised.
The Business Analyst will document current state process, analyse business pain points and develop an optimised future state process that aligns with the business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
The Business Analyst will work closely with the Project Manager, Business Application owners and Information Technology owners. The Business Analyst will be responsible for the following:
* Business Analysis Planning & Monitoring
* Plan and document the business analysis approach, stakeholder analysis, business analysis activities, business analysis communication and requirements management processes
* Engage and consult with business stakeholders for analysis of business requirements, functional requirements, business change impacts.
* Work closely with the Organisational Change Manager to coordinate engagement with business stakeholders
* Pro-actively manage the relationship with external implementation partners, in order to provide solutions that satisfy the business requirements
* Conduct business rules elicitation, document and confirm elicitation results and document business processes (As-Is and To-Be)
* Requirements Management & Communications
* Proactively manage, prioritise and document business requirements and requirements traceability
* Document business requirements specification and progress business issues
* Specifications Development
* Document functional specification of requirements
* Document functional specification of interfaces
* Document Configuration requirements
* Other activities as directed by the Project Manager
Highly Desirable
* Current and varied experience across public and private sector is highly desirable.
* Experience in information security or cyber security projects is desirable.
Further details:
8 Hours/day - 40 Hour working week.
The successful candidate will be required to complete a Criminal History Check.
