Our client is seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Finance Manager for a six-month position. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and manage the Finance and Governance team, providing authoritative advice on corporate governance matters. The successful candidate will have the chance to develop collaborative relationships with other business units and external stakeholders, ensuring cost effectiveness and efficiency while maintaining compliance with relevant statutory and departmental requirements.What you'll do:As a Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the Finance and Governance team. Your expertise will be crucial in providing guidance on corporate governance matters. You will plan, negotiate, manage, and evaluate the provision of finance services in collaboration with the Director of Business Services. Your leadership skills will be put to use as you develop business-related policies that represent best practice. You will also establish effective relationships across Government departments to stay updated with emergent issues.Lead and manage the Finance and Governance team to co-ordinate business and administrative functions including finance, budget and assets.Provide authoritative advice and guidance to the program on corporate governance matters including finance and asset management.Plan, negotiate, manage, and evaluate the provision of the program’s finance and governance services in collaboration with the Director, Business Services.Lead and manage the development and implementation of business-related policies, practices and technologies.Develop collaborative relationships with other business units and the Business Corporate Partnership.Manage sensitive and confidential issues or undertake research and project management activities as requested by the Director, Business Services or the Program Executive.Manage, draft and quality assure finance and governance related executive correspondence.What you bring:As a Finance Manager, your ability to provide authoritative advice on corporate governance matters will be key to this role. You bring experience in planning, negotiating, managing finance services along with developing business-related policies. Your ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion is essential.
