Business Support Officer (Ref: 1418) About the position: This opportunity is for a 12 month Fixed Term Contract with a possibility of extension. The City is seeking an organised and proactive person to join the Regulatory Services branch in providing effective and efficient administration and customer service to the community. The Business Support Officer role provides a high standard of administrative support to the four business units within the Regulatory Services branch, as well as high quality customer service to the community, internal and external stakeholders. The incumbent of this role ensures a professional work environment and strives to continuously improve teamwork, processes and effectiveness in the work area and across the organisation. Key accountabilities: Provide all necessary administrative support service to the Regulatory Services branch in the key areas of records management, infringement notices, financial administration, registrations, statistical data entry and meeting administration. Provide effective customer engagement and build relationships with customers to ensure a consistent and responsive customer experience. Proactively enhance the knowledge of customers in relation to the services provided by the Regulatory Service branch and provide customers with the skills and abilities to find critical information in order for them to self-serve if they so choose. Respond to general enquiries and complaints (personal, written or telephone) relating to area of expertise and delegate operational matters to rangers as necessary. Position requirements: The successful applicant will have previous experience in general administration and business support duties, including dealing with customer enquiries and data entry. High attention to details skills are required along with demonstrated time management and organisational skills. Completion of a pre-employment medical including alcohol and other substances testing is required of all positions at the City. Remuneration and benefits: A salary starting from $72,450 per annum or $36.6648 per hour will be offered dependent on knowledge, skills, experience and qualifications.
