Family-built company seeking a skilled and qualified machinist to join their team Your new company Based in Toowoomba, this company specialises in manufacturing tyres, wheels and rubber tracks that are used in over 50 countries around the world. They take pride in providing quality products and high levels of customer service to leading equipment manufacturers, dealers, and retail customers. Through growth and expansion, they are now looking at growing their team with skilled and qualified machinists. Your new role Reporting to the Senior Fitter & Turner, you will be assisting with production and maintenance work throughout the factory. The primary tasks of your role will be machining steel, rubber, and polyurethane using steel lathes of various sizes, a milling machine, and a large vertical borer. The role will also include assisting with general maintenance and upgrade requirements when time permits and under direction. What you'll need to succeed As an experienced machinist in a similar role, you will also have the below attributes: Certificate III in Engineering (fitting and turning) Manual Drivers Licence LF Forklift Licence Strong work ethic and a positive attitude What you'll get in return Offering stability and overtime, the working hours are 6:30am to 3pm, Monday to Friday. A permanent position will be offered to the right candidate after 6 months when they can look forward to an RDO once a month and be provided with third party training and certification where relevant.
