You prioritise the safety of yourself and others at work, both physically and mentally.
You've been developing your skills and are ready to work on projects that matter to the people of NSW. You know that quality matters and that delivering results requires a great team.
In this role, you'll:
Be part of Sydney Trains working within the Fleet Maintenance Division where you’ll join a technical and collaborative crew. You’ll work out of the Broadmeadow Depot which has a 24/7 operational requirement that requires the team to do shift work.
You’ll be a mechanical fitter that inspects, services, overhauls and repairs mechanical/pneumatic systems, equipment and components on diesel fleet passenger trains.
About you
You’re a self-sufficient tradesperson who’s either worked specifically with trains or other heavy vehicles or diesel plant. Ideally, you’ll have some cross-trade electrical knowledge/exposure but there is training provided on this side of things.
In addition to your skills and experience, being a good communicator and safety conscious will make you a standout for this role.
