We’re about making a difference.About the roleWhat you'll do:Officeworks is embarking on an exciting organisational change within the People Team and we have a great opportunity available for an Employee Relations Advisor who is focused on developing their career within Employee Relations to join our fast-paced People Advisory team.We want people who are great as individuals, but even better when working in a team. As an Employee Relations Advisor, you will be responsible for providing advice and coaching on a range of employee relations matters, leading investigations, and case management activities, and supporting strategic and tactical ER initiatives.In this newly created role you will:Manage and lead workplace investigations and prepare case management documentation including investigation report and outcome letters.Maintain appropriate record keeping in relation to all interactions with team members and leaders, and case management activities.Support where needed on complex cases, escalated matters, and litigation.Ensure excellent ER service delivery, including through accurate and timely reporting, insight and trend assessment, and process improvement recommendations.Advice, coach and support leaders and people team with ER-related matters and deliver/contribute to capability uplift programs.Maintain a current knowledge of human resource and industrial relations frameworks, legislation, policy, and practice.We operate a hybrid working environment at Officeworks - a combination of working from home (WFH) and our new corporate office in Chadstone.About youWhat you'll bring:Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Employee Relations or Employment Law.Previous experience in a similar role providing ER and HR advice to team members and leaders, with demonstrated knowledge of employment-related legislation.Strong knowledge and experience in interpreting industrial instruments (enterprise agreements and awards), HR policies and legislation, and providing advice to team members and leaders regarding outcomes.Great time management with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise as necessary.Our cultureIt’s all in a day’s work when you’re part of the Officeworks community – where you’re not defined by who you are, but what you can do.
