Childcare Director I Non for Profit I $140,000 + super We are looking for an innovative leader who will manage, mentor, and guide both Early Childhood Teachers and Educators. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the centre while developing a culture of enquiry and learning.You will have the ability and autonomy to develop innovative evidence-based practice and lead change.This is a 60 placed centre, purpose-built service for children aged 2 – 6 years based in Coogee (Eastern Suburbs)It is our belief that the centre operates as a result of communication and respectful interactions between staff, children, families, and the local community.Key responsibilities include yet are not limited to: Develop & implement the centre's programs, systems, and operational processes to ensure the successful running of the centre. Ensure reporting requirements are monitored, maintained, and completed on time. Maintain & develop positive relationships & effective communication with the committee. Develop positive and open professional relationships with families, children, and staff. Provide effective support, guidance & mentoring to staff members of the centre. Manage the centre's budget and expenditure within the budget framework. Ensure the centre operates within the centre's policies and procedures along with licensing, legislation & regulations requirements. Ensure rosters & staffing of the centre are well organised. Manage & guide staff with their professional development & their individual goals & performance. Ad-hoc duties as required by management. Market the centre to the local community. The successful candidate will ideally have: A Bachelor of Early Childhood Education with 3 years' experience as a Centre Director in a community-based centre. A current First Aid Certificate. Exceptional knowledge and experience in leading a team of professional staff. The ability to develop effective & positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent written & verbal communication skills. A solid understanding of policies, procedures, and regulations. What is in it for you?
