The Opportunity
We're looking for a Business Development Manager to join our sales team in Granville. As a single-source provider of product, processing, and service solutions in steel and aluminum products, BlueScope Distribution supports customers across various industries and helps them deliver projects on time and to specification.
Your Role and Responsibilities
* You will identify new business opportunities and improve our share of wallet with existing customers, focusing on sheet and coil products.
* You will work closely with the sales team to grow revenue, margin, and market share.
* You will build sustainable relationships with key stakeholders, including industry bodies and specialists, to identify new customers.
* You will research and investigate key industry projects for future business growth opportunities.
* You will provide leadership, guidance, and input into key customer supply proposals, quotes, and tender submissions across the business within the Sheet & Coil space and framing market.
Requirements and Qualifications
* You will have experience in developing and executing end-to-end targeted sales and growth strategies for targeted markets within the steel industry.
* You will have business-to-business sales experience.
* You will possess effective relationship management and influencing capability.
* You will have commercial acumen with an understanding of pricing and margin and its impact on profitability.
