Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Tamworth Hospital Palliative Care Team.
About the Role
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurses to join our Palliative Care team. As a member of this specialised unit, you will play a vital role in providing holistic and compassionate care to patients with life-limiting illnesses, supporting them and their families through their palliative journey.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality, patient-centred care to individuals with life-limiting illnesses and their families.
* Assess, plan, and implement nursing care plans, ensuring the needs of patients are met with dignity and respect.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care.
* Support patients and families with emotional and psychological care, addressing both physical and emotional needs.
* Ensure comfort measures are maintained, including pain management, symptom control, and end-of-life care.
* Document patient care and monitor progress, adjusting plans as necessary.
Requirements:
* A current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
* Excellent clinical skills and knowledge in pain management and symptom control.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to support and provide guidance to patients and families during challenging times.
* Empathy, patience, and the ability to provide comfort in emotionally charged situations.
* The ability to work well both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, collaborating effectively with others.
