If you share our determination to drive the transition to a low-carbon future, then this could be the job for you. We are currently seeking a Management Accountant, reporting directly to Finance Manager to join our Finance team based in Perth, Australia.
About the role:
This is a key role that is responsible for providing financial insights and analysis to senior management to support strategic decision-making. This role is responsible for financial reporting and analysis of project performances, project costs, process improvement and ensure all processes adhere to accounting standards. This role is crucial in partnering with operations, project teams and management team to provide key financial insights to improve decision making and ensure business efficiencies.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Preparation and submission of Budgets and Forecast reports to the Management Team
2. Ensure accurate and timely reporting for Quarter end and Year end closing
3. Coordinate Management Reporting pack and provide insight on project forecasts
4. Review and challenge of budget/forecast models with both Finance and Operational team members
5. Manage Cost centres, analyse costs and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
6. Maintain effective working relationships with key project team personnel and support functions
7. Perform Ad hoc analysis for management and operation/project teams
8. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards and support with Audit requests
About You
We would love to hear from you if you profile meets the following requirements:
9. Tertiary degree in Accounting, Finance
10. CA or CPA certification preferred
11. 3-5 years in a management accountant or analyst role with strong accounting standard knowledge
12. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
13. Oracle system experience preferred
14. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of operations and senior management
15. Effective in leading and managing change
16. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
17. Power BI experience preferred
