As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll manage budgets from initial planning through to completion, balancing quality and financial efficiency alongside a skilled project team.About the Role You'll take charge of budgeting and cost control across all project stages, ensuring financial goals align with best practices, including AIQS and AACE standards. With a solid understanding of both top-down and bottom-up estimating, you'll prepare tender documents, develop rate schedules, and conduct detailed take-offs. Using Cubit and Cost X, you'll provide accurate cost forecasts and insights to keep projects on track. Key Responsibilities: Develop and oversee cost plans to ensure budget adherence throughout project stages. Conduct take-offs, manage variations, and provide precise trade breakdowns. Perform site valuations and track progress, offering timely financial reporting. Use Cubit and Cost X for cost control and forecasting. Support contract administration, procurement, and risk management alongside project managers. Qualifications and Experience: Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management. AIQS membership (preferred but not essential). 3+ years in Quantity Surveying, ideally on commercial or infrastructure projects. Skilled in Cubit, Cost X, and MS Excel, with strong analytical abilities. Team-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
