We don't simply provide a bed and roof; we also offer a unique experience and a safe environment to help students make the most of their studies.ABOUT THE ROLEThe Scape Commercial Tenancy Asset Manager is responsible for managing relationships with our commercial and retail tenants in Victoria. This role entails overseeing the management, performance, and contractual obligations of our university campus asset at Scape Franklin. Your primary objective will be to serve as the university relationship manager, maximizing the value of this asset and ensuring optimal performance through effective management strategies. This position demands professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to handle various situations effectively.THE IDEAL CANDIDATEWe seek a self-managed individual with a proven track record in asset management in a high-value environment. The ideal candidate should possess:At least 3 years of experience in asset management in a similar commercial and retail role.Fluent knowledge in maintenance, tenancy management, the Victorian Retail Tenancy Act 2024, and Tenancy Agreements.Strong financial acumen.Proficiency in emergency protocols, procedures, and best practices.Ability to operate IT systems and other tenancy-related technologies proficiently.Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.Proven experience in asset management, preferably in the education sector or with large-scale facilities.Strong knowledge of property management principles, including leasing, space planning, and facility maintenance.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with university stakeholders.Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.Knowledge of sustainability practices and energy management in the context of campus assets.Familiarity with local regulations and compliance requirements for university facilities.Professional certifications such as Certified Practitioner in Asset Management (CPAM) are a plus.THE PERKSAt Scape, we are all about creating and sharing the good vibes.
