Senior Aboriginal Engagement Lead (Identified) This is an identified role under GSE Rule 26 and Aboriginal people are encouraged to apply.About the role In this dynamic role, you will lead the planning, development and delivery of best practice Aboriginal employment strategies, frameworks and programs including collaboration and engagement with diverse stakeholders to support the achievement of Aboriginal strategies, NSW Public Sector approaches and Closing the Gap targets.This includes providing specialised support to Aboriginal employees and expert advice on Aboriginal employment strategies across the department.About You We are seeking an energetic and motivated individual, who is passionate about developing Aboriginal employment and inclusion strategies in the workplace.The ideal candidate will have: Experience in delivering Departmental wide strategies in a team which can champion the development and delivery of Aboriginal employment and inclusion strategies aligned to Department objectives and NSW Government priorities.Demonstrated experience partnering with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities and entities, with the ability to communicate across cultures with an understanding of Aboriginal issues.Capable of driving outcomes while effectively involving stakeholders throughout the process, fostering collaboration and buy-in, including delivering thought leadership, coordination and reporting.Strong time management and organisational skills to deliver projects, considered advice and achieve deadlines to the required standards and timeframes.Knowledge of relevant NSW public sector employment strategies, related legislation and initiatives.What is an essential requirement: Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or relevant experience Experience in the design, development, delivery and evaluation of diversity and inclusion strategies, programs, and initiatives Demonstrated high level skills and experience in project and/or program management and evaluation.This is an Identified role under Section 14d of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 and as such Aboriginality is an essential requirement of the role.If you are passionate about making a positive impact and have the skills to help focus on bettering outcomes with and for Aboriginal peoples, we would love to hear from you!
