We have an opportunity for a talented Payroll Officer person to join our team in West Perth, WA. The Payroll Officer will be responsible for all payroll tasks within the Australian region and will report to the Controller. All you have to do is get on board. As a Payroll Officer, you will be at the forefront of ensuring all payroll tasks are completed in a timely fashion and in accordance with company policy and procedures. Primary Payroll Duties: Be the primary point of contact for all payroll matters related to fortnightly and Monthly payroll and year end payroll filings. Provide assistance and advice to the business and employees regarding taxes, superannuation, allowances, and expenses. Payroll support for corporate staff, employees under Enterprise Agreements and oversees taxation. Process fortnightly payroll including expense and allowance claims. File and submit all payroll taxes, superannuation, insurances, and employee benefit related costs. Maintain employee payroll electronic files together with the 3rd party payroll service provider. Collaborate with HR (Human Resources) to maintain company processes and controls over administration of employee compensation. Maintain payroll function for (HR) Compensation (related inquiries). Primary Accounting Duties: Balance Sheet Reconciliations for Payroll related accounts Audit support for Payroll related matters To be successful in the Payroll Officer position, you will have the following attributes. Qualifications General knowledge of accounting principles and booking practices Degree qualified in Payroll & Bookkeeping or Finance is desirable. Skills/Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years' payroll experience within a medium to large tier organization with experience with payroll on multi-union agreements would be beneficial Sound understanding of Australian payroll taxation, superannuation and terminations including taxation Proficient in Microsoft Office Packages, particularly with Word and Advanced Excel skills Strong problem solving and analytical skills and ability to leverage technology Excellent communication both written and verbal Excellent Interpersonal skills with the ability to establish relationships at all levels.
