The Department
The Audio and Language Content team produces the most linguistically diverse public broadcasting in the world, providing Australian-focused news and information in 63 languages across live radio and digital platforms.
The Role
We are seeking a casual based Producer to join us in the Mandarin language program. As a producer, you will contribute to fostering audience engagement on-air and online, with a sound understanding of the Chinese-speaking community in Australia and its cultural sensitivities.
About You
* You will have undertaken and/or assisted with a range of journalism and content production tasks to compile content for SBS Chinese digital platforms (audio, video and text) and third-party platforms.
* You will be proficient in speaking Mandarin and in reading/writing Traditional Chinese, as well as English, and comfortable participating in a language assessment task as part of our interview process.
* Demonstrated professional experience using Facebook, Twitter and Instagram would be an advantage.
