Provide after-hours emergency as determined by the relevant work unit.The Role:Assessment and management of paediatric and neonatal patients (outpatients and inpatients), attendance at deliveries and management of neonatal and paediatric emergencies.After hour on-call paediatric registrar duties on-site.Undertake neonatal and paediatric procedures, including assessment and management of paediatric patients requiring procedural sedation.Discharge planning and discharge summaries compliant with policy to ensure safe clinical handover to community-based care providers.Involvement in quality assurance, educational, supervision and clinical governance activities, as well as participation in multidisciplinary team meetings.Details of appointment:Fixed term full time, shift worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from 5 May 2025 until 3 May 2027.Registrars only: You will receive 10 hours of paid, protected training time per fortnight, pro rata.Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time and casual vacancies.RegistrarsMedical Practitioner Level 5 - 11 $134,930 - $189,005 per annum, pro rata + 11.5% superannuation + access to salary packagingEligibility: Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria as follows:General or limited registration with the Medical Board of AustraliaEnrolled in the relevant speciality training programCurrent Working with Children Registration*Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment.
