A rare opportunity has presented to appoint a suitably qualified and visionary professional to the role of Director Essential Services and Assets.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and managing a motivated and collaborative team, your key responsibilities will include:
Oversee the development and delivery of the capital works and maintenance programs. Ensure the Infrastructure and Asset Management Plan is executed, evaluated, and performance standards are met. Provide trusted advice and recommendations to the CEO and Council. Maintain sound, strategic relationships with key stakeholders. Drive customer service excellence and a high-performing workplace culture. Contribute to the financial sustainability of Council. Provide strategic direction for asset, project, and contract management. Provide technical support and advice regarding road maintenance and waste management operations. Ideally, you will bring a strong business acumen together with relevant qualifications in engineering, planning, or regulatory and compliance. Your ability to think outside the box and a willingness to embrace new technologies will be well received. Prior Local Government experience is preferred.
