We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and culturally aware Registered Nurse to join our Primary Health Care Clinic team, supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in Port Augusta and surrounding areas. As a Clinic Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality healthcare services in a culturally safe environment, working alongside a dedicated team of doctors, Aboriginal Health Practitioners, and other healthcare professionals. This role requires strong clinical skills, cultural competence, and a commitment to supporting community health and wellbeing. Further Details Up to $134,748.75 PA (commensurate with experience) + rural and remote incentive allowance!!! Full-time, fixed-term contract (at least 12 months) Starting November 2024 Must have a current South Australian Driver's Licence - occasional after-hours work and intrastate travel may be required Key Responsibilities Provide clinical and practical support to doctors, Aboriginal Health Practitioners, allied health professionals, and clinic staff. Facilitate effective patient access to health services through a streamlined appointment system. Contribute to clinic operations, including infection control, equipment maintenance, and Medicare revenue capture. Promote and maintain compliance with legislative requirements related to privacy, OH&S, and patient information management. Monitor work standards and support the workload of clinical staff in collaboration with the Clinic Manager. Uphold a high standard of cultural sensitivity and commitment to community health needs. Selection Criteria Current unrestricted registration with AHPRA National Crime Check within the past 12 months Current Working with Children's Check Must have full working rights for Australia (i.e. Permanent Resident or Citizen of Australia/New Zealand, or a current, valid visa with no restrictions) Experience within an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (ACCHO) Certified nurse immuniser Strong verbal and written communication, with experience in liaising across multidisciplinary teams This position offers an opportunity to contribute to community-led health initiatives and positively impact Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
