In that support, the R&C function will enable the success of the business by instilling a culture of risk management as a core part of how we support our customers and ensure that we have the appropriate processes and practices to meet our compliance obligations. As Operational Risk Manager and reporting to the Senior Manager Risk and Compliance you are key member of a 1LOD risk team responsible for key activities in relation to the implementation and management of the risk and compliance framework within Group Finance by ensuring all risk activities are undertaken in a timely and accurate manner. In this role you’ll get to… Perform all activities required for embedding and uplifting the management of the Operational Risk Framework inside Group Finance Report and escalate any breaches of risk and recommend areas for improvement Ensure department risk registers are current in relation to findings and treatment plans. Produce papers for and provide input into the Divisional Operational Risk Committee Meeting Facilitate and/or participate in the review of events, scenario analysis, root cause analysis and control validations. Proactively promote a strong risk culture (through advice, support and awareness on risk matters) What you’ll bring to the role To be successful in the role you will have: Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Business or related discipline with CA/CPA qualified highly desirable Operational Risk experience in Banking and Financial Services Industry (Line 1 or 2 risk roles) Demonstrated experience and understanding of risk associated with a group finance function, including some knowledge of treasury, market & liquidity obligations. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with highly developed influencing and collaboration skills to deliver on organisational outcomes.
