Job Advert: Tax Manager About the Role We are seeking a Tax Manager to join our dynamic team, reporting to the Senior Tax Manager. In this key role, you will be instrumental in managing the Group's tax compliance, lodgement, and reporting obligations. You will help drive business growth by identifying tax issues, recommending solutions, and maintaining regular tax reporting requirements. Key Responsibilities: Reporting: Perform tax effect accounting, including quarterly reconciliations of current tax provisions and balance sheet accounts. Prepare quarterly tax reporting packs for the UK head office. Conduct cash tax forecasting. Prepare tax notes for financial statements. Liaise with external auditors regarding tax issues. Advise internal stakeholders on complex taxation issues and relevant legislative changes. Research and provide recommendations on the tax implications of non-standard transactions. Collaborate with internal teams to enhance end-to-end tax processes and procedures. Compliance: Review annual income tax returns. Manage the preparation and filing of FBT returns. Oversee the preparation and filing of BAS returns, activity statements, and PAYG instalments. Coordinate the preparation of stamp duty requirements and WHT returns. Manage payroll tax submissions. Liaise with external tax advisors on technical and compliance matters. Engage with the ATO and State revenue offices. Oversee submissions for emergency service levies and insurance duty. Supervise payment times reporting processes. Education & Experience: Commerce/Accounting degree preferred, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a tax function. CTA, CA, or Master of Tax qualification required. Experience in tax consolidations and managing tax compliance obligations. Knowledge of tax effect accounting principles. Proficiency in Word, advanced Excel, Power BI, and ERP software. Professional Skills: Strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills. Excellent analytical, supervisory, coaching, and project management abilities. High attention to detail. Professional demeanor with confidence. Adaptability and the ability to work under pressure.
