About the Role
This exciting opportunity supports the University's dynamic property portfolio across seven campuses, reporting to the Director, Legal Services (HASS).
You will join a smart and dynamic property and construction practice, undertaking a wide range of matters including developments, major projects, sales and acquisitions, stakeholder agreements, funding arrangements and ancillary commercial dealings, as well as Crown land management, property and land taxes advice work.
The role also involves work on leases, licences, and some front-end construction matters.
As a skilled legal professional, you will provide technically aware and commercially focused legal advice, working closely with clients and other lawyers in the team to develop strategic risk awareness and offer proactive advice.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Drafting and negotiating agreements, and managing complex legal matters autonomously.
* Driving collaboration and excellence through fostering a team-oriented culture, promoting best practices and ensuring service delivery exceeds expectations.
* Developing and maintaining effective client relationships.
* Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, proactively identifying and managing legal risks.
