An exciting opportunity is available for a qualified Mental Health Clinician to join our Hospital Outreach Post-Suicidal Engagement (HOPE) program within the Mental Health Directorate at Southwest Healthcare.
About the Role
The HOPE program provides specialised mental health services to individuals aged 16 and over who have been referred following a suicide attempt or are experiencing acute suicidal ideation. Our team delivers tailored, evidence-based biological, psychological, and social interventions to support each individual's unique needs and goals over a three-month engagement period.
A proportion of work within the HOPE program will take place outside regular business hours, with shifts scheduled at least one month in advance.

* Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 3: $100,932.00 - $112,091.20 pro rata, plus superannuation
* Occupational Therapist Grade 2: $88,030.80 - $101,197.20 pro rata, plus superannuation
* Social Worker Grade 2: $88,030.80 - $101,197.20 pro rata, plus superannuation
* Psychologist Grade 2: $94,478.80 - $106,906.80 pro rata, plus superannuation
* Provisional Psychologist Grade 1: $62,535.20- $90,922.00 pro rata, plus superannuation
What You Bring
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mental Health Clinician with:
* Demonstrated expertise in mental health clinical services within a multidisciplinary team model.
* Knowledge of recovery-oriented practices, trauma-informed care, and current trends, legislation, and policy directions in mental health services.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
* A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Qualifications:
* Appropriate qualifications in Nursing, Psychology, Social Work, or Occupational Therapy .
* Registration with AHPRA, where required.
* Social Workers must be eligible for registration with AASW .
Successful applicants for this position may be eligible for an incentive payment of $10,000 for rent, childcare, relocation costs and more, as part of the new workforce and incentive grants program administered by Rural Agency Workforce Victoria (RWAV) on behalf of the Department of Health (DoH).
