Your OpportunityWe are currently seeking a Private Wealth Assistant to join our Canberra office on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a very important role which will see you juggling a wide number of duties. Not only are you the first point of contact for one of Australia’s oldest and most respected Wealth Management firms, you will also be heavily relied upon to provide direct assistance/support to a team of Private Wealth Advisers.Key Responsibilities Include:Adviser Support/Front Office:Support Advisers with client administration work as required including, but not limited to:Development of reports for reviewPreparation of client application formsSet up new accountsData managementPreparation of investment portfolios and performance spreadsheets for clients meetingsAssisting with IPOLiaising with Sydney operations department in relation to the client matters and with third party accountants and share registriesMarket related tasks; providing accurate market information and stock research to clients, share tradingOffice Support/Administration:Answering and directing incoming callsMeeting and greeting clients in a friendly and professional mannerManagement of meeting rooms and preparation of refreshments etc.Daily collection and distribution of mail, banking and arranging deliveriesLiaise with IT and external suppliers, ensuring all printers are in working orderMaintenance and general upkeep of staff kitchenMonitoring office stationery supply levels and ordering as requiredScanning, photocopying, archiving, faxing and distribution as requestedCoordination of client functions and eventsAbout YouTo succeed in this role, you will ideally possess:Tertiary qualifications, preferably in Finance, Commerce or BusinessAbility to develop strong relationships with high-net-worth individualsHigh level of planning and organising skillsExcellent and proven accuracy - strong attention to detailOutstanding written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a high paced environmentIT literate and proficiency including strong Microsoft Office, Excel, OutlookPrevious customer and client relation experience within a professional environmentExperience working in a team and autonomouslyJoining Ord MinnettOrd Minnett offers a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic and reputable firm.
