The Role
Within the Logistics Management function an APS 3 Logistics Officer is accountable under limited direction to perform and achieve straightforward logistics inventory management work within an integrated workforce. They are accountable to understand and comply with relevant legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defences mission and policy requirements.
An APS 3 Logistic Officer will work established priorities and procedures while exercising some autonomy about how their work is performed. They may prioritise and manage their workflow and produce work that is subject to routine monitoring by more senior Defence employees. They may undertake specialist, procedural, clerical, administrative support or operational tasks including some basic research and analysis activities to support their work unit. The work may have an element of complexity.
About our Team
The 4th/19th Prince of Wales's Light Horse Regiment is an Army Reserve Unit and a unit under 4 Brigade.
The 4th/19th Prince of Wales's Light Horse Regiment has a small team of 14 full time personnel at varying levels and backgrounds, where we all work in together to help achieve the unit's outcomes.
The APS 3 will work within a small Logistic team of the 4th/19th Prince of Wales's Light Horse Regiment and provide logistical support to the Regiment's sub-units to meet the directed training requirements assigned.
The APS 3 will contribute to the work of this team, assist on methods in the completion of logistic tasks and help supervise Reserve Logistic members.
Our Ideal Candidate
The APS3 Logistics Officer will need to have a good level of logistic/inventory management skills and be able to liaise and apply standard procedures to meet stakeholder requirements to achieve the work for the unit and Defence.
They will need to be a self-starter, a good communicator and may be required to provide some limited supervision and support to Defence employees at lower classifications, as well as providing on-the-job training to team members.
The APS 3 will be accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.
