Associate Director, Internal Audit Locations: St Lucia CampusTime Type: Full timePosted on: Posted YesterdayJob Requisition ID: R-45086 Internal Audit Full-time, fixed term opportunity for up to five years Based at vibrant and conveniently located St Lucia campus About This Opportunity The Associate Director, Internal Audit, plays a critical role in supporting the Director in leading UQ's Internal Audit function in accordance with the Internal Audit Charter, the Financial Accountability Act 2009, and relevant professional standards and policies.The role will focus on managing and executing the Quality Assurance and Improvement Program (QAIP), overseeing and implementing the Internal Audit Data and Technology strategy, leading internal projects and improvement initiatives, engaging strategically with senior stakeholders, managing co-sourced engagements, and executing high-risk or strategic engagements.This is an excellent opportunity for professional growth as the successful candidate will receive mentorship and development aimed at preparing them for the Director position. We seek a motivated individual eager to advance their career.About You You must possess a relevant professional qualification, such as a CA, CPA, CIA, or equivalent overseas certification. Extensive experience in internal audit or assurance within a large and complex organisation is essential. A strong understanding of contemporary internal audit frameworks, standards and practices is required, along with a solid knowledge of business processes, risk management and controls.Proven leadership skills are vital, including the ability to lead high-performing audit teams, collaborate across organisations, and build strong partnerships. You must be self-driven and proactive, demonstrating integrity and objectivity in your work. You will take initiative to resolve complex and sensitive issues while influencing and negotiating effectively.
