Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Manager for our Laverton North Warehouse in Victoria.
Key Responsibilities
1. Inventory Management: Oversee the receipt, storage and dispatch of goods. This includes maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring stock levels are adequate.
2. Staff Supervision: Manage warehouse staff, including hiring, training and scheduling rosters (casuals). In this role, the Warehouse Manager ensures that employees follow safety protocols and work efficiently.
3. Safety & Compliance: Ensure the warehouse complies with health and safety regulations. This involves regular inspection and implementation of safety measures to prevent accidents.
4. Logistics Coordination: Coordinating with suppliers, transport companies and customers to ensure timely delivery and receipt of goods. This includes managing shipping and receiving operations.
5. Space Utilisation: Optimise the layout of the warehouse to maximise space and improve efficiency. This involves strategic planning and organisation.
6. Performance Monitoring: Tracking key performance indicators to assess the efficiency and productivity of warehouse operations. Using data results to make improvements and ensure targets are met.
7. Budget Management: Prepare and manage the warehouse budget, including controlling costs related to labour, equipment and supplies.
8. Problem-Solving: Addressing any issues that arise in the warehouse.
Requirements
* A degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management or a related field would be advantageous.
* Certifications in warehouse management or logistics.
* Level 3 Diploma in Warehouse Operations.
* Intimate knowledge of warehousing and logistics.
* 4+ years' experience in warehouse management.
* Proven track record in warehousing and logistics.
* Proven knowledge of warehouse policies and procedures.
* Excellent communication, both verbal and written.
* Good computer & information technology skills.
* Focused on customer service.
* Attention to detail and highly organised.
* Flexible and open to change.
* Forklift Licence required.
* HR Licence is also looked upon favourably.
