Are you a skilled Engineer with strong experience in Water Network Infrastructure? Central Highlands Regional Council is currently seeking an experienced Water Network Infrastructure Engineer to join their Water Utilities Team.
In this position, you will play a key role in providing engineering advice on critical water and sewerage network infrastructure which ensures the continuous water supply and wastewater collection across our region.
You will be responsible for scheduling and assisting in the management of operational crews; planning and modelling of water supply and wastewater networks; identification of project scopes to upgrade the water supply and wastewater networks; and undertaking analysis and concept design for water supply and wastewater network upgrades to support trunk infrastructure.

Please note: This role is required to participate in an on-call rotating roster.
Your Expertise Will Support Council By Providing technical support around the coordination of planned and responsive maintenance work to the water and wastewater trunk and reticulation networks Developing and implementing planned maintenance, renewals and capital programs and continuous improvement of operations/processes Providing technical support for the network infrastructure in the Central Highlands Region Giving advice and/or assessing applications for new connections, building over assets, and other compliance and/or development issues Assisting with updating the asset management system and ensuring that correct data is being collected and integrated for future planning and asset valuation Developing maintenance schedules Assisting with financial operational budgets To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to possess: Demonstrated experience in a similar role including sound knowledge of water and wastewater network management Extensive working experience within the water and wastewater industry Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent in a technical field Excellent understanding of National Standard requirements An understanding of asset management integration with planned and responsive maintenance activities Ability to accurately collect, analyse and report on large volumes of data Capable of working autonomously and within a diverse technical team environment Working For Central Highlands Regional Council Has Its Benefits We are a progressive region, committed to creating opportunities for all.
