Our mission drives us, and we want you to be part of the journey.About the OpportunityBased in Dalby, you will undertake construction and maintenance activities on water, sewer, and gas infrastructure through the skilled operation of trucks and machinery. Reporting to the Utilities Network Supervisor, you will:Operate various types of mechanical or electrical hand tools/equipment, plant, and machinery in particular backhoe, skidsteer, and truck;Undertake a range of allocated tasks consistently to meet agreed timeframes including traffic control as required;Have awareness of relevant safety standards and requirements; andBe prepared to undertake a pre-employment medical.Council will provide branded uniforms and quality on the job training including working with heights, confined space, traffic and VOC tickets.About yourselfThe successful applicant will:Hold an OH & S Construction White Card and current C Class Drivers Licence;Possess a certificate of competency for backhoe loaders;Have an understanding and experience in various aspects of utilities construction and maintenance works;Have knowledge of Uniform traffic control devices and its application for signage (desirable); andPossess a certificate of competency skidsteer loader / Medium Rigid (MR) Drivers licence (desirable).The benefits of working for WDRC:Work / life balance: We understand the importance of balance.
