The Company We are working with a well-established Not-for-Profit organisation seeking a skilled Financial Controller to join their team on a part time basis. The Role As the Financial Controller, you will manage the financial operations and ensure the organisation's financial integrity and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Manage accounting operations, including payroll, A/R, A/P, expense reimbursements, and GL, with support from the Finance Officer. Coordinate the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, and variance reports. Prepare and publish monthly financial statements. Monitor cash flow and prepare forecasts. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and research technical issues. Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes. Prepare quarterly Balance Sheet Reconciliations and ensure quality control in financial reporting. Manage the annual audit process and prepare audited financial statements. Prepare financial reports for the Committee and Board. Develop and document internal controls, accounting policies, and business processes. Manage financial risk, including insurance and compliance with procurement activities. Assist with payroll system maintenance and leave planning. Manage project portfolios, including timelines, budgets, and resources. Your Skills & Experience · Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA/CA preferred. · 7 years of finance experience, with at least 2 years in a management role. · Big 4 background held with high regard. · Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
