Our valued client, a reputable provider of aged care, are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and passionate Health, Safety and Wellbeing Business Partner to join their team in Hobart. Please note this is a part time opportunity, working three days per week. Coordinate management of workplace incidents, near misses and injuries including investigations and corrective actions. Risk assessing work activity and environment Ongoing auditing, monitoring, reporting and evaluation of overall WH&S performance Conduct quarterly safety audits and inspections Attend safety committees meetings within head office and at local allocated sites to raise health and safety awareness, to provide safety expertise and input, to advise on policy and procedure updates and to discuss any gaps in site inspection reports and highlight trending data Report to the Safety Team on key themes arising from site Safety Committees and participate in safety initiatives and programs of work Review all reported incidents on RiskMan system to ensure the investigation has been undertaken and appropriate risk mitigation/ risk reduction strategies are in place Complete incident investigation for high risk incidents/ hazards Profile A bit about you Tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety, minimum Cert IV WHS Strong working knowledge of relevant safety legislation, regulations, codes and standards Experience in conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations Knowledge and understanding of risk management strategies in workplace safety Demonstrated experience in understanding and implementing projects Experience and expertise in MS word, MS Excel,, MS Outlook, MS Explorer Understanding of fitness for work requirements and FairWork Legislations Project management experience Skills Excellent verbal communication skills Effective problem solving skills with the capacity to manage competing priorities effectively, and to cope with rigorous deadlines Capacity to train staff in manual handling, systems, processes and policies as required Competent in building rapport and establishing and maintaining effective relation with key stakeholders A satisfactory National Criminal Police Record Check (PRC) is required prior to commencement Working With Children Check (VIC) or Registration to work with Vulnerable People (TAS) An obligation to have an annual vaccination(s) as per our vaccination policy Job Offer This is an incredible opportunity to join a rapidly growing, reputable, large organisation, where there is endless opportunity for career growth and further learning on the job.
