RDO Equipment are currentlyseeking a talented Technical Training Instructor for our John Deere Construction and Forestry line of products. The RDO Training Team is based in our Support Office in Richlands, Brisbane, however remote work from anywhere in Australia will be considered. Relocation and/or sponsorship assistance is available. This role will require frequentdomestic (up to 25% of your time) and occasional international travel (if required).
This individual will focus on training and training needs to drive departmentperformance, bench strength, and engage talent. This position will bewell suited for an energetic individual who can work in a team that shares apassion for delivering a high level of training.
The key responsibilities of thisrole will include but not be limited to:
1. Lead the development, adaptation and delivery of content and training material to our dealerships in an appropriate learning environment to enable the desired outcomes aligned with the company objectives and values.
2. Continually evaluate the effectiveness of the training course via feedback and student evaluation processes, to ensure that course objectives are achieved and make appropriate changes to course materials and delivery where necessary.
3. Participate in OEM Certification process for Trainers.
4. Assist in developing John Deere C&F Training Content
5. Research training topics and industry relevant information, and other relevant business activities to increase subject matter expertise specific to product, product applications, machine systems and industry applications.
6. Develop and deliver content for RDO's Technical Competency Framework in conjunction with the Training team and the Leadership team.
7. Mentor Apprentices
8. Develop relationships with OEM’s and key Training providers.
You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:
9. Mechanical Trade Qualification with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience
10. Cert IV Training and Assessment qualification plus training experience an advantage
11. A passion for people and knowledge sharing
12. Extensive experience with John Deere Construction and Forestry Equipment with an emphasis on their Systems and Processes
13. Solid Knowledge and understanding of the company line of products.
14. Previous experience in a Construction & Forestry related role (highly advantageous)
15. Strong computer skills and technical acumen will be highly regarded.
16. Proven ability to build relationships with internal and external customers, colleagues, and management.
17. Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
18. A mature attitude with a logical and methodical approach to your work
19. Ability to work within a team.
