About the Role As the Recreational Activities Officer, you will drive the engagement and participation of residents into a range of social, recreational and cultural activities, as well as mental health and wellbeing programs that empower our residents' choices and independence. In running recreational activity programs, you will ensure individual residents' needs, values, spiritual and cultural preferences are taken into account. This position is a fixed term part time working 60 hours per fortnight. Skills and Experience You have completed Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle (or willing to complete) Experience working with people with Dementia (highly desirable) You hold a current NSW/ACT Drivers License and will be able to take clients on outings Willingness to obtain a NDIS Worker Screening Check or provide current NDIS Worker screening clearance You have previous experience in caring for the elderly within an Aged or Community Care setting You have highly developed organisation and time management skills You have an understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes Culture People enjoy working at BaptistCare because they love what they do and the communities we help.
