The Opportunity
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Operating Officer will form a key member of the executive leadership team at Peninsula Villages. This role is responsible for leading and ensuring safe, high quality service delivery across Peninsula Villages by fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
This role will manage the safety, wellbeing, and performance of all staff and service teams to ensure high quality service delivery and to meet organisational, stakeholder and regulator expectations. The COO will collaborate with peer leaders to drive alignment with the organisation’s values and practice framework, supporting a cohesive and impactful leadership team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
1. Oversee the efficient and effective delivery of Aged Care Services ensuring continuous improvement and alignment to best practice.
2. Oversee risk management efforts, including safeguarding practices to protect vulnerable populations.
3. Collaborate with finance teams to optimise budget management and resource allocation.
4. Be a change leader for business transformation and new ways of working.
5. Build and lead a high-performing workforce to ensure a skilled and responsive team.
About You
We are seeking an experienced and accomplished senior leader with a proven track record in leadership, operational excellence and strong Aged Care sector expertise. Additionally, at least 5 years of relevant industry experience and formal relevant tertiary qualification are essential.
You will have a proven track record of successfully delivering impactful Aged Care programs and intimately understand all areas of service delivery and funding instruments. You will excel in stakeholder engagement, team development, and resource optimisation, ensuring services are delivered efficiently while meeting the needs of clients. This should be combined with proven experience in leading and motivating diverse teams. You will have demonstrated experience in driving and enabling service excellence ensuring a client-centric approach across your workforce.
