Ventia, through Skout Solutions, are looking for a HSE Advisor starting April 7th for a 6-week contract, Monday to Friday at the Millmerran Power Station during a shutdown. This work will be 10.5 hours per day. Toowoomba/Dalby locals can drive in and out for a $91.50 LAHA on top of the daily rate of pay. Alternatively, Toowoomba accommodation and bus can be provided for the right candidate if outside the Darling Downs area.Reporting to the Contract Manager, you'll be responsible for partnering with the contract and client within the Millmerran Power Station Coal Ash Handling plant contract, providing advice and support for compliance and operational excellence in Health, Safety, and Environmental matters. In addition, you will work with the business and provide coaching and mentoring support as and when required in walkthroughs of the plant during the shutdown period. This role is onsite and operational, and the successful individual will have strong knowledge/experience around HSE processes, identifying risks, and be confident in highlighting and working through safe resolutions with a diverse range of people.Key responsibilities will include:Relationship Management - Promote an organisational culture that empowers all personnel on Ventia and contractors to be involved in HSE matters and to pro-actively take action to reduce risk.Project and Contract Planning - Provide ongoing HSE support to the contract during shutdowns and implementation of the HSE plan throughout.Project and Contract Support - Provide advice to support the Contract Manager to ensure the effective implementation of the HSE System during shutdown.Continuous Improvement - Review HSE Performance and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of HSE Legislation and Regulations.Key deliverables include:Role modelling of the Ventia Values and HSE behaviours.Completion of investigations within required timeframes.Ensure a positive HSE culture within the shutdown project across employees and contractors (approx 50 staff onsite).Skills & ExperienceThe successful candidate will have exceptional people skills with the ability to communicate effectively across a range of stakeholders.
