Could you be the Project Quality & Safety Manager for Gold Coast Light Rail we’re looking for?
Your future role:
As the Project Quality and Safety Manager for Gold Coast Light Rail based out of Southport, QLD, take on a new challenge and apply your Quality expertise in a new cutting-edge field. Reporting to the Project Quality & Safety Manager - QLD, you will be the independent voice of the customer in the project organisation, act as an interface with the customer quality and safety teams while attending to Customer Satisfaction Surveys interviews and monitor action plans.
We’ll look to you for performing the following:
Project Quality
* Establish, document, implement, maintain, and continuously improve the Project Quality Management Plan and ensure its proper application during contract execution in accordance with contract requirements, and Alstom processes.
* Guide project teams in understanding Quality contributions to the project.
* Manage, coordinate, and synchronize the community of all quality project execution.
* Regular reporting on progress and support achieving the required level on quality competencies.
Project execution controls
* Report quality and safety alerts and manage Non-conformities and Safety issues.
* Ensure quality of the technical modifications made during the project
* Safety assessments implemented to prepare safety authorization.
* Control project processes and deliverables compliance.
* Owning the Supplier Part List, and ensure the list is properly created for the full scope of the project across all contributing sites.
* Ensure the train/ product history book is prepared, updated, and handed over to the customer for each train/ product.
* Improve the tender quality if assigned to support tender phase.
Measure and improve project quality performance
* Facilitate problem solving during project execution phase to ensure timely management and reduce the costs of non-quality (8D, QRQC, REX).
* Implement an effective corrective and preventive action system.
* Provide support for periodic progress reporting through quality indicators and identify improvement opportunities.
All about you:
* Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronic).
* Railway, aviation, mining or O&G industry experience.
* Excellent communication skills and with the ability to build strong relationships with Colleagues, Supplier and our Customer.
* Proven background in team/people management and ability to positively influence in cross-functional/geographically distributed teams.
* An awareness of Processes and Products delivery within a project environment.
* Experienced in managing Quality tools and problem-solving tools and quality standards (ISO9000 and ISO9001).
* Significant Quality Management experience including operational activities and documentation management.
* Flexibility within the workspace is required and a willingness to travel between sites a necessity.
