An excellent opportunity exists for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to step into the leadership role as the Base Maintenance Supervisor, based in Wagga Wagga.
Reporting:
This position reports to the Southern Part – Responsible Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The management and administration of the WGA base and line maintenance facilities including:
1. Supervision of the ‘C’ Check Facilitator, Workshop Supervisors and all Engineering staff
2. Co-ordination and planning of manpower, equipment, tooling, data and aeronautical products to ensure the timely completion of all maintenance activities
3. Ensure serviceability of tooling and equipment and the management of a preventative maintenance/service program for Engineering GSE, including follow-up action on any Engineering GSE declared unserviceable and the delegation of GSE inspection and servicing tasks (ref. EI-22)
4. Disseminate information through tool box meetings and the "read and sign" process
5. Rectify deficiencies identified in the quality and safety systems
6. Correct amendment status of publications
7. Ensure the cleanliness of the facility and correct disposal of hazardous materials
8. Ensure that employees comply with regulations and conform to company policy and procedures
9. Assist in the forwarding of all maintenance certification and records sheets to Technical Records IAW REX CAMO procedures
10. Assist in the identification and arrangement of training to ensure that sufficient numbers of trained staff exist to cover tasks planned for the WGA hangar
11. Monitor and control of costs at the WGA base
12. Conduct a sample audit of each engineer’s toolbox no less than once per calendar year

14. Other duties as listed in the Rex Maintenance Organisation Exposition.

16. Proven ability to manage a close knit team, but also have an ability to work unsupervised
17. A demonstrated willingness to accept responsibility
18. Experience in Airline Operations
19. Demonstrated ability to adhere to deadlines in a high workload environment
