Reporting to the Activity Centre Team Leader our Activity Officers are responsible for promoting emotional and physical rehabilitation to our clients. This is done through recreational activities that promote holistic wellbeing.
They encourage to maintain the skill level, independence and mobility that they require, along with providing support to their family/carers. You will be working with clients across our Central Coast Activity Centres including Gorokan, Gosford and Woy Woy The position is offered on a part time basis $30.46 per hour + Super What you will be doing!
Planning, preparing and delivering of a range of social and recreational activities for both individuals and groups Encouraging the socialisation process for customers via a wide range of organised group activities, entertainment according to customers' interests and skills.
Promoting the retention of existing life skills for people and provide opportunities to enhance these skills through participation in various tasks Providing a high level of customer service and person centred care at all times Actively maintain progress notes and communicate with supervisor when changes are identified Providing assistance to customers in activities of daily living as detailed in the customer care plan Medication assist may be part of the roles' duties What you will need!
