South West Healthcare is seeking applications from suitably skilled and experienced candidates with sound knowledge of supply and/or accounting functions to join the team as a Purchasing Officer.The position of Purchasing Officer is located at the Regional Logistics Distribution Centre (RLDC), a brand-new state-of-the-art facility that provides linen and supply services to the region within a safe, comfortable and modern working environment.
About the RoleWith the ability to provide specialist advice to peers and senior management, the Purchasing Officer is responsible for ensuring that adequate levels of inventory are held and distributed and that the purchasing of all stock is best value and compliant with regulatory bodies such as Health Share Victoria (HSV).The position also requires regular functions such as stocktake and monitoring of stock to be completed using the organisation's purchasing system, Oracle, to ensure effective operations.The Purchasing Officer while autonomous in nature will also be required to work in collaboration with the Category Managers and the Clinical Products Advisor on the purchasing and fulfilment activities across Central Supply.
