With overall responsibility for the aged care facility, the General Manager will maintain high standards in clinical and non-clinical care, admissions, finance, workforce management, and compliance, along with supporting the organisation’s intergenerational initiatives.
Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, an ideal candidate would know how to manage large complex facilities sometimes across multiple sites.
Situated in a Melbourne bayside suburb, the facility has 150 beds and connects community with aged care residents with an innovative campus format providing (among other services) medical centres (including allied health services), gyms, early learning centres and cafés, creating a truly innovative and integrated healthcare community.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure the delivery of safe, resident-centered care
* Maintain compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards
* Build upon and optimise occupancy targets
* Identify opportunities for improvement, innovation and growth
* Manage Home operations including respite and memory support
* Lead and inspire a large and diverse team
Experience:
* 5 years’ experience as a site/facility manager (a clinical background is ideal but not a prerequisite)
* Commissioning new and acquiring/expanding existing facilities
* Building communities
* Strong leadership and people management skills
* Valid AHPRA registration
* Experience with the AN-ACC funding model
* Australia work rights
