The Principal Planner will be responsible for managing planning teams using both internal and external resources to deliver professional schedules for our projects. Our projects range from small to large technical services packages with high levels of system integration and are often on construction sites or within operating Data Centers. The project planner will initiate, develop and maintain project schedules for all large projects, supporting the project managers and technical resources to implement consistent and accurate project schedules and associated reporting functions. The project schedules will follow the Schneider Electric Customer Project Process (CPP) and will enable clear monitoring and visualization of progress, budgets and resource requirements. Responsibilities Work as part of the DC RAC PM team, attend team meetings, 1 to 1 sessions with manager, project managers and other stakeholders to achieve deliverables and outcomes. Deliver project schedules to achieve desired outcomes. Manage project schedules to ensure progress reporting and forecasting enable margin improvement. Ensure compliance to the Schneider Electric Customer Project Process. Manage Risk and opportunity across all projects via the project schedule. Maintain a high level of Customer Satisfaction. Ideal Candidate Trade/Engineering/Technical based qualification in electrical or refrigeration trade and/or University Degree and/or Post Graduate qualification or relevant experience. At least 5 Years of Project Planning/Implementation/Business management experience required preferably in the Data Centre industry. Project scheduling certification (desirable). A history of being able to create, monitor, and analyze large project schedules according to best practices. Ability to track, report, and evaluate project progress whilst ensuring accuracy and version control of project schedules. Ability to identify potential scheduling delays and recommend corrective actions. Strong understanding of project management controls, forecasting and reporting. Background in digital systems/tools, process improvement and data visualization. Background in project execution in a relevant industry such as IT, technology, engineering or construction (highly desirable). Proven ability to engage stakeholders (up to and including senior management levels) and build positive business partnerships.
