Job Description
We are seeking experienced Area Managers to lead our team in Inbound or Outbound operations within our Melbourne fulfillment center.
Your team is responsible for getting Amazon customers their orders. You must ensure that your associates are properly trained and have their needs addressed so they can focus on their jobs.
One of the most important aspects of this job is leading change and innovation. We strive for scalable solutions to improve our overall business.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support all safety programs and compliance to ensure a safe work environment.
2. Develop performance goals and objectives to achieve customer promise expectations.
3. Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives.
4. Build and execute productivity plans by reviewing work forecasts and partnering with other Area Managers.
5. Lead and develop a team of Amazon associates.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* A completed Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
* Working experience in Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related field.
* Experience as a manager involving sizable teams.
* Demonstrate ability in problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Direct management experience for employees and their performance.
* Experience with performance metrics and process improvement.
* Flexibility to work weekends and/or shifts regularly.
* Experience in Microsoft Office applications.
