Due to the approved expansion of Holy Trinity School, Inverell to Years 11 & 12 from the 2026 school year, Holy Trinity is seeking an innovative and energetic Leader of Learning - English.
The successful applicant will have Stage 6 experience or demonstrated equivalent and the ability to lead collaborative and autonomy-promoting teams. Leaders of Learning and Leaders of Student Care work as a coherent team of Middle Leaders to improve conditions for learning, teaching, and wellbeing across the School.
Potential applicants are asked to review Living Well, Learning Well: A Student Support Framework for the Diocese of Armidale and Leading from the Middle: A Middle Leader Framework for the Diocese of Armidale before proceeding. An intent and capability to support and drive this work is an essential requirement for the successful applicant.
The successful applicant will be able to articulate a contemporary, student-centred perspective on pedagogy and show evidence of recent work to improve teacher practice, build stronger teams, and improve student learning.

Base salary range: (Full-time) $85,000 - $122,100 gross per annum (based on skills, experience & NESA accreditation)
Employment type: Full-time (1.0 FTE)
Employment status: Permanent teaching role, 2-year Leader of Learning contract (renewal subject to successful performance)

Key Responsibilities
Duties related to the position include but are not limited to:
1. Upholding Catholic identity and mission across the curriculum.
2. Leading Professional Learning Teams to drive improvement.
3. Working collaboratively with Leaders Of Pedagogy and Literacy Coach.
4. Contributing to and leading curriculum implementation and faculty goal setting.
5. Providing effective planning, allocation, support, and evaluation of teamwork.
6. Supporting colleagues in mentoring and monitoring goal setting.
7. Ensuring a focus on the balance between content, technology, and pedagogy.
8. Facilitating innovative approaches to contemporary pedagogy.
9. Monitoring and evaluating teaching strategies to improve student achievement.
10. Using instructional coaching methods to set expectations of high-impact practices.
11. Ensuring implementation of NESA and Diocesan curriculum.
12. Using evidence-based approaches to develop and modify programs.
13. Ensuring contemporary learning spaces are appropriately resourced.
14. Taking responsibility for budget and record keeping requirements.
15. Maintaining Workplace Health and Safety standards.
