About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Manager to join the Climate Change and Sustainability Services team based in Brisbane, Australia.
The EY Climate Change and Sustainability Services team is the largest sustainability consulting team in Oceania, helping companies understand climate change and sustainability issues. Our multidisciplinary teams advise major ASX 200 companies on driving performance beyond their bottom line.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead non-financial assurance engagements across various locations, including sustainability reporting and regulatory reports under the NGER Act and subordinate legislation.
2. Support organisations in developing and delivering climate change strategies that address risk and opportunity.
3. Develop and execute business development plans for EY's Climate Change services in Brisbane, achieving sales targets.
4. Build trusting relationships with clients and leverage those relationships to generate business opportunities.
5. Develop and implement go-to-market plans for EY's climate change services, enhancing market presence in Brisbane and supporting the execution of EY's climate change services strategy.
6. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment, applying technical expertise to direct project teams on delivery of EY's climate change services.
Requirements
* Tertiary qualification in engineering, environmental sciences, economics, accounting, or law.
* Knowledge and experience in climate and energy policy, climate risk assessment, decarbonisation strategy, and Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards.
* Experience in non-financial assurance and practical experience with energy and emissions reporting schemes, including the NGER scheme, Safeguard Mechanism, and Emissions Reduction Fund.
* Climate risk advisory experience using frameworks such as TCFD.
* Outstanding project and time management skills, with at least 9 years of relevant professional experience and 2+ years leadership or management experience.
