Duties
To ensure the public health and safety of dairy products through application of verification and validation audits of dairy farms, bulk milk transporters, processors and distributors. To ensure that licence holders are meeting their licence conditions and certify that dairy exports meet importing country requirements.
Essential Requirements
1. A current motor vehicle driver’s licence.
Desirable Requirements
2. Appropriate tertiary qualification (e.g. Bachelor’s degree) in Science, Applied Science, Dairy Food Technology, or a related field.
3. Cert IV in Government Investigations (Regulatory Compliance).
4. Sound knowledge of milk production and processing activities and relevant food safety regulations.
5. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in food safety, quality assurance, or regulatory compliance.
6. Capability to become an auditor in accordance with the National Regulatory Food Safety Auditor Guideline, an authorised officer appointed under the Tasmanian Food Act 2003, and an authorised officer appointed by the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries under the Export Control Act 2020.
