As a Motor Mechanic, you will be responsible for the following duties:Provide accurate estimates of cost, time, effort for a repair or maintenance job.Dealing with suspensions, brakes, air conditioning, coolant and more on passenger carsPerform basic care and maintenance, including changing oil, giving tune-ups, checking fluid levels, and rotating tires. Dealing with customers on a day-to-day basis and performing duties in a timely and accurate manner.Inspect and adjust mechanical systems to verify alignment, balance, and fit after the repairs.Respond promptly to vehicle breakdown service calls and travel to the location of the stranded vehicle.Inspect vehicles thoroughly to assess their condition and determine if they meet roadworthiness standards.Diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a variety of different brands of vehicles in compliance with manufacturer's guidelines and ensure compliance with regulations. Inspect mechanisms of engine, transmissions, steering, or other components including dismantling and reassembling of engine parts, ensuring all parts are correctly installed and properly functioning.Inspect removed parts for wear, damage, or other issues to determine whether repairs or replacements are needed.Use diagnostic tools and testing equipment to evaluate the performance of repaired components such as engines, transmissions, and braking systems. Skills and Abilities: A minimum qualification of Certificate III or Certificate IV is required.3 years of work experience in a similar role is required.Driven and enthusiastic individual with strong determinationWork under minimum supervisionWork under pressure.Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 annually plus superannuation.
