What You'll be doing: We have several exciting opportunities available for qualified clinicians who are keen to make a real difference, through the provision of critical incident support, psychological assessment and intervention, and holistic and proactive health and wellbeing programs. The Psychologist role is an integral part of the Mental Health Services program within the NSW RFS which includes Senior Psychologists, Psychologists, a Peer Support Program Coordinator, and Peer Support Officers. The Senior Psychologist and Psychologist positions deliver state-wide and area-based mental health prevention, promotion, intervention and recovery services to RFS staff and volunteers as well as support and guidance to RFS leadership and peer personnel. The role will require participation in a rotating on-call after-hours roster, ensuring that our team always has access to the care they need, whenever they need it. The Psychologist provides confidential psychological services to RFS members, including clinical assessment, intervention, and referral options and delivering Psychological First-Aid (PFA) for work-related trauma. They work collaboratively with the Peer Support Officer (PSO) Program, and assist in the provision of psychoeducation and training to promote mental health awareness and management.
