In this role, you will be responsible for:
Leading a team of project-based engineers, works, and assets staff, as well as contractors to achieve the company's vision and strategic civil plans.
Developing, mentoring, and encouraging staff to deliver relevant outcomes in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Liaising with consultants, contractors, and community groups on civil-related matters.
Managing the initiation, planning, and delivery of multiple capital works projects.
Developing and implementing policies and strategies in alignment with legislation and industry guidelines.
Fostering a values-based approach to drive organisational culture and goals.
Overseeing financial aspects, including budget preparation, forecasting, and reporting.
Engaging with stakeholders to provide exceptional customer service.
Participating in project and contract management within organisational frameworks.
This is a leadership role that requires:
* A degree in Civil Engineering with Professional Membership of Engineers Australia.
* Significant experience in project and maintenance management across civil assets.
* Working experience in a leadership role in civil construction and road maintenance.
A successful candidate should possess:
* Knowledge of infrastructure standards and local government operations.
* Understanding of pavement techniques involving various methods such as overlaying, patching, crack sealing, and seal coating.
* Demonstrated high-level expertise in contract documentation, contract management, quality assurance, and competitive tendering.
* Demonstrated financial/budgeting, legal, and technical knowledge and skills associated with major project development and management.
A strong candidate should have:
* Significant experience in managing projects, contractors, consultants, and service providers.
* Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* A current valid Driver's Licence and NSW Construction Induction White Card.
